Required Education

* High School Diploma or equivalent



Required Experience

* Minimum 6 months of previous forklift driving experience required

* Zero to one year of warehouse or related experience and or training

* Experience operating counterbalance forklifts in a warehouse environment

* Experience using material handling equipment such as forklifts conveyors cranes handcarts and power trucks



**Tech Skills**

* Basic computer skills

* Ability to read write interpret and comprehend documents written in English

* Ability to perform basic math calculations

* Ability to work in a metrics driven environment

* Basic knowledge of material handling management logistics or manufacturing production processes

* Ability to follow standard operating procedures and quality guidelines

* Ability to maintain records as needed



**Soft Skills**

* Effective communication skills with coworkers and Team Lead or Supervisor

* Ability to work under general to limited supervision

* Ability to complete routine tasks using prescribed steps

* Ability to develop skills in basic tasks techniques and procedures within an assigned process



**Responsibilities**

* Operate counterbalance forklifts to move materials parts assemblies and finished products within the warehouse or plant

* Operate various material handling equipment including forklifts conveyors cranes handcarts and power trucks

* Follow established standard operating procedures and quality guidelines

* Maintain required records and documentation

* Perform routine warehouse tasks while meeting productivity and quality expectations

* Communicate effectively with coworkers and Team Lead or Supervisor

* Follow all safety procedures and workplace requirements

* Work Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM with overtime as needed

* Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted as required

* Wear steel toe or composite toe shoes as required

* Complete required background checks before starting the assignment

* Perform duties requiring frequent walking standing stooping kneeling balancing climbing lifting crouching reaching pulling pushing grasping talking hearing and twisting

* Perform frequent hand and finger movements including handling feeling picking and typing

* Work near moving mechanical parts and in environments with vibration extreme weather conditions fumes and airborne particles

* Work in high or precarious places when required

* Work in environments that may be hot during summer months due to limited or no air conditioning and cold during winter months due to limited heating

* Work in a moderate to loud noise environment

* Lift and or move items over 50 lbs when required
