Lab Technician Overview

• Perform laboratory testing and support activities involving adhesives and bonded materials

• Independently complete assigned laboratory tasks while maintaining a high level of initiative

• Conduct testing, collect data, and accurately document results using established laboratory procedures

• Maintain detailed laboratory records and communicate project results through data entry, charts, and tables

• Operate laboratory equipment and measuring devices safely and accurately

• Follow laboratory safety practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ISO 17025:2017 quality requirements with guidance

• Work in a hands-on laboratory environment requiring prolonged standing, repetitive hand movements, and the ability to safely handle chemicals and materials

• Contribute to laboratory operations by supporting experiments, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring quality and safety standards are consistently met



Job Duties

• Dispense adhesives

• Bond parts

• Test bond strength and physical properties

• Evaluate, collect, and record laboratory data

• Organize and perform experiments using established procedures

• Summarize and document results in a laboratory notebook

• Perform computer data entry, including charts and tables for project communication

• Operate laboratory equipment and measuring devices

• Follow laboratory safety protocols and best practices while working with chemicals and laboratory equipment

• Follow quality protocols in accordance with SOPs and ISO 17025:2017 under guidance

• Maintain accurate documentation of laboratory activities

• Perform work requiring prolonged standing throughout most of the day

• Lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds as needed
