Rose International Announces Enhanced Software Package for Management of Contingent Workforce Contracts

Agreement with SBC Knowledge Ventures Enables Rose to Offer Customers New Opportunities to Cut Costs and Increase Efficiency.

ST. LOUIS , Oct. 18, 2004 -- Rose International today announced key enhancements to its MaestroVMS™ software solution for management of contingent workforces.

The Rose software is designed to help companies streamline internal processes in managing contingent workforce contracts, helping to cut paperwork and increase automation for both the user and vendors. It is specifically designed to assist in management of common contingent workforce arrangements for services such as legal, accounting, marketing and information technology. The software is capable of accommodating multiple types of workplace scenarios, including hourly or flat-fee arrangements.

The MaestroVMS™ software will serve as a foundation for the range of contingent workforce services Rose provides for business customers. The company has more than nine years of expertise in developing, utilizing and supporting contingent workforce management processes and systems. According to an agreement with SBC Knowledge Ventures, Rose will incorporate SBC-developed software and best practices into its contingent workforce software solution to add new functionality.

"Management of professional services contracts is a substantial challenge for most large companies today," said Phil Black, vice president - contingent workforce services, Rose International . "Our agreement with SBC Knowledge Ventures enables us to add its knowledge to our own to deliver field-tested and proven software functionality. Our MaestroVMS™ solution will give companies that contract for contingent workforce services a centralized tool for procuring services, managing costs and efficiently processing everything from time entry to billing."

The MaestroVMS™ solution will be designed to help companies substantially reduce costs and realize a range of soft-dollar benefits, including higher-quality contract work, reduced management burdens, time-to-hire periods of as little as three days, and better compliance with in-house contracting rules.

"Since implementing this software platform in 2002, SBC companies have been able to realize a substantial reduction in our total annual contract spend," said Abha Divine, president and CEO, SBC Knowledge Ventures. "We are pleased to provide proven SBC best practices and tools to Rose as they develop MaestroVMS™ to deliver similar efficiencies to their customer base."
