Rose International Launches New B2B Exchange Business

ST. LOUIS, September 22nd, 2000 – Gulab Bhatia, Himanshu Bhatia and Eric Token, executives at Rose International, today announced the launch of QcomX.com, a new B2B Exchange for the IT Services industry. The new company, operating as an independent subsidiary of Rose International, is a B2B and B2G IT services procurement exchange. QcomX has been capitalized with an initial investment by Rose, directed 100 percent into technology and business development. Rose officials did not disclose the size of this initial investment.

QcomX offers two systems. The primary system is the QcomX exchange itself. "Our approach to the use of technology in building this exchange is very unique," said Token. "We have more granular data, so our filtering and screening capabilities are far superior, resulting in a more efficient and accurate experience for the buyer and supplier alike," he said. "We feel that our total solution is better than anything out there, because our model incorporates the human touch far more than other models," said Token.

The second system, QPro, is an ASP service for IT vendors needing a comprehensive tracking system for their technical and professional candidates. This system can be used in an integrated fashion with QcomX in responding to QcomX network buyers. In addition, QPro functions as a stand-alone system supporting a services firm's requisitions coming from outside the network.

"We currently have a vendor network covering all 50 states and supporting several Fortune 500 companies," said Mr. Bhatia. "We anticipate exponential growth over the next 12 months."
