Experience Desired: Warehouse, distribution, material handling, or manufacturing experience (1 yrs); Previous experience manually unloading 18-wheeler trucks and stacking boxes/pallets (1 yrs); Forklift/MHE experience with the ability to safely operate equipment as needed (1 yrs)

Job Description
Required Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent



Required Skills and Experience:

• Relevant warehouse/distribution experience preferred

• Forklift experience required

• Experience with manual material handling and physical labor

• Ability to obtain forklift certification

• Experience operating material-handling equipment (MHE)

• Ability to operate MHE and use an RF scanner

• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing documents

• General warehousing knowledge

• Basic analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills

• Ability to safely lift, bend, turn, push, pull, reach, and move materials

• Ability to lift over 50 pounds in some areas



Responsibilities:

• Manually unload inbound 18-wheeler trucks

• Stack boxes onto designated pallet patterns

• Perform manual labor involved in receiving, moving, and organizing materials

• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment as needed

• Locate pallets into racks and designated storage locations

• Locate materials into pallet and BIN locations

• Verify catalog numbers, lot numbers, quantities, and expiration dates according to incoming procedures

• Accept materials from other C.R. Bard divisions/departments for ethylene oxide sterilization

• Complete JD Edwards transactions using IBM Data Collection/RF scanners to receive products

• Assemble and build sterilization loads according to defined palletization diagrams

• Place Biological Indicators (BI spores) into sterilization loads

• Initiate sterilization load record documentation

• Operate inventory control systems as applicable

• Maintain an acceptable work area in accordance with procedures and Quality System Regulations

• Exercise safe lifting techniques when bending, lifting, and turning

• Support buying and selling processes as required

• Perform other duties as assigned



Physical Demands:

• Regularly walk, stand, stoop, kneel, balance, crouch, reach, push/pull, grasp, twist, and lift

• Frequent use of hands for handling, picking, and repetitive movements

• May occasionally be required to climb

• May be required to lift over 50 pounds in some areas

• Must have sufficient vision and hearing to safely operate MHE in a manufacturing/distribution environment

• Moderate to loud noise levels

• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical equipment

• Potential exposure to precarious situations and temperature extremes

• Non-climate-controlled environment — hot in the summer and cold in the winter

• Occasional exposure to fumes/airborne particles
