Job Description
Required Education
• Degree: BS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Agricultural Engineering
• Second preference (if available): Metallurgical Engineering or Advanced Physics
• Years of experience: 0–2 years (internships count toward experience)
Required Technical Skill
• Proficiency in Creo or related CAD software
Serve as an individual contributor on projects and assignments that support and enhance Caterpillar product performance, durability, reliability, quality, and serviceability.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain multiple seal validation test benches
• Author and update safe job & lock out tag out (LOTO) procedures for seal test equipment
• Manage internal/external validation test requests and support quality/material/design improvement projects
• Perform/apply root cause analysis on field returns
• Support NPI (New Product Introduction) and CPI (Current Product Improvement) projects
• Collaborate with system engineering teams (internal and external) to identify/validate optimum sealing system solutions
• Create and deliver technical reports
• Research and develop new sealing technologies

3. Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members, system engineering teams, and suppliers
