• Experience as an Underwriting Assistant is a plus.

• Experience working in a production-driven environment.

Overview (Underwriting Assistant)

This entry-level role provides essential administrative support to the Underwriting team by assisting with data entry for new business applications, reviewing correspondence and records for accuracy, and maintaining organized electronic files. The position also involves updating procedure manuals to ensure streamlined underwriting processes. Working under close supervision, the role is ideal for individuals with strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and an interest in insurance or financial services.



Responsibilities

• Perform entry-level underwriting support tasks, including processing binds, endorsements, and cancellations.

• Work under close supervision as part of the underwriting support team.

• Manage and prioritize tasks through assigned queues and Outlook inboxes.

• Triage and route emails within a shared mailbox to appropriate stakeholders.

• Participate in hands-on, side-by-side training, with work reviewed until underwriting authority is granted based on performance and evaluation.
