Job Description

Description:


Interpret between Japanese ex-pats and local staff.

• Provide interpretation for various onsite meetings as well as telephone and web conferences.

• Translate technical and non-technical documents including policies, instructions, and manuals when necessary.

• Compose and translate emails, reports, etc.

• Required to translate both Japanese to English and English to Japanese.

• Other duties may be assigned by management.


Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for -specific competencies, access online forms and policies, and complete online benefits enrollment.

Education

• Basic: High school diploma or GED
• Preferred: bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field

Essential Qualifications:

• Written and verbal fluency in Japanese and English, excellent communication and writing skills.
• Japanese/ English business language skills.
• Translator/interpreter experience in a business/ technical environment, manufacturing industry preferred.
• Ability to translate quickly and accurately.
• Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
