Job Description
Required Education:

• High School or GED

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Graphic Design, Instructional Design, or closely related field (or equivalent demonstrated expertise/experience)



Requirements:

• Portfolio demonstrating design aptitude, adult learning principles, and holistic instructional design (required – candidates will not be considered without portfolio)

• 5+ years of experience creating learning content in document, video/audio, and interactive formats

• LMS administration experience

• Expert-level proficiency in PowerPoint, Articulate 360/Rise 360, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop

• Excellent video/audio editing and graphic design skills

• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills

• Experience with call center technologies, CRM, or service ticket systems in a quality-focused environment

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office

• Ability to work independently and manage large global curriculum projects



Overview:

The Senior Training Specialist, Service Excellence, supports Abbott Laboratories within the Abbott Diabetes Care division. This role is responsible for designing and executing global Customer Experience training strategies to ensure employees and BPO partners are fully equipped to support ADC products, technical troubleshooting, compliance and complaint handling, customer service, and quality assurance behaviors.

The position partners cross-functionally with subject matter experts to develop engaging, compliant, and scalable learning solutions delivered through document-based, video/audio, and interactive formats.



Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deliver global learning solutions including eLearning, ILT, virtual sessions, workshops, Train-the-Trainer programs, and structured OJT

• Conduct training needs analysis and align learning strategies with business and regulatory requirements

• Administer and maintain global LMS structure, compliance tracking, version control, and documentation

• Develop knowledge checks and evaluation tools to measure effectiveness and retention

• Coordinate training compliance and recordkeeping across regional and BPO Customer Service teams

• Collaborate with SMEs to ensure content accuracy and regulatory alignment in a highly regulated healthcare environment

• Manage external vendors supporting content development and ensure adherence to standards and timelines

• Monitor, evaluate, and report on training program effectiveness and continuous improvement initiatives

• Stay current with emerging trends in instructional design, learning technologies, and adult education
