Education Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training and Development, Instructional Design, Communications, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• Equivalent education and professional experience may be considered.

Required Skills
• 5+ years of experience developing and delivering training for software applications, business processes, or technology implementations.
• Experience developing training materials for both technical and non-technical users.
• Experience conducting instructor-led, virtual, and hands-on training sessions.
• Experience developing user guides, training manuals, quick-reference guides, job aids, presentations, and other training materials.
• Experience working with Business Analysts, Developers, Technical Writers, QA resources, Project Managers, and business stakeholders.
• Experience working within an Agile/Scrum software development environment.
• Ability to learn complex applications and business processes and explain them in a clear and understandable manner.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Teams.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with project and client teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with School Finance, education funding formulas, grants management, or similar financial applications.
• Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and using UAT feedback to update training materials.
• Experience providing post-implementation training and support.

Project Overview
The Trainer will support the CLIENT School Finance Foundation Formula Payment System Rewrite. The project will modernize the existing School Finance Foundation Formula Payment System by developing a modern, web-based solution hosted in the CLIENT AWS Cloud.
The project will include application modernization, School Finance funding calculations, payment processing, approvals, overrides, reporting, integrations, database modernization, data migration, testing, training, deployment, and post-implementation stabilization.
The Trainer will work closely with the project team and CLIENT stakeholders to understand the new system and business processes and develop training that prepares CLIENT staff and other authorized users to effectively use and support the modernized system.

Duties
• Work with CLIENT subject matter experts, Business Analysts, developers, QA resources, and other project team members to understand system functionality and business processes.
• Develop a comprehensive training approach and training plan for the modernized School Finance system.
• Identify training needs based on user roles, system functionality, business processes, and changes from the existing system.
• Develop training materials including user guides, training manuals, presentations, quick-reference guides, job aids, and hands-on exercises.
• Develop training materials for School Finance calculations, payment processing, approvals, overrides, reporting, workflows, and other system functionality.
• Develop training for different user groups based on their responsibilities and system access.
• Participate in demonstrations, sprint reviews, requirements sessions, and other project activities to maintain an understanding of system changes.
• Work with the Technical Writer to ensure training materials and system documentation remain consistent and accurate.
• Support UAT activities and use feedback from CLIENT users to identify areas where additional training or clarification may be needed.
• Conduct instructor-led and virtual training sessions for CLIENT staff and other approved users.
• Provide hands-on training and demonstrations using the modernized system.
• Develop exercises and scenarios that reflect actual business processes and user responsibilities.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and make updates based on user feedback and questions.
• Maintain training materials as system functionality, requirements, workflows, and business processes change.
• Develop administrator and support training to assist CLIENT and OA-ITSD personnel with ongoing system operations.
• Support knowledge-transfer activities throughout the project.
• Assist with go-live readiness by ensuring required training materials are completed and users are prepared for deployment.
• Provide training support during implementation, go-live, and post-implementation stabilization.
• Update training materials based on approved system changes, defects, enhancements, and process updates.
• Support the transition of training materials and knowledge to CLIENT personnel for ongoing use and maintenance.
