Preferred Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Advanced coursework or certification in Telecommunications Management, IT Service Management, or Contract Management
Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
• Experience analyzing and interpreting telecommunications billing data
• Ability to identify billing discrepancies and cost-saving opportunities
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
• Experience tracking and monitoring KPIs (usage, costs, uptime, time to repair)
• Knowledge of telecommunications services and infrastructure
• Vendor management experience, including resolving billing disputes and service issues
• Contract review and rate validation experience
• Ability to maintain accurate records of telecommunications assets and services
• Strong reporting and presentation skills for management and stakeholders
• Understanding of E-911 location verification requirements
• Process improvement and documentation skills
Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
• Experience with ITT72 contract or similar telecommunications procurement frameworks
• Knowledge of telecommunications industry trends and emerging technologies
• Experience with telecom expense management (TEM) tools
• Continuous improvement or Lean process experience
The Telecommunications Analyst is responsible for analyzing telecommunications billing and usage data to ensure accurate billing, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize telecom expense management. The role supports contract oversight, vendor management, KPI tracking, asset record maintenance, and process improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements such as E-911 location verification.
Job Duties:
• Analyze and interpret telecommunications billing data to ensure accurate billing and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Develop reports and presentations to communicate findings to management and stakeholders
• Track and monitor telecommunications KPIs, including usage, costs, uptime, and time to repair
• Review contracts to ensure competitive rates and favorable terms
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve billing disputes and service-related issues
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of telecommunications assets and services
• Verify E-911 location information for compliance and accuracy
• Stay informed on emerging telecommunications technologies and industry trends
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance telecom expense management efficiency
