Job Description
Education:

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, or Information Systems is required

• Masters in Computer Science, or Information Systems is preferred



Required Qualifications

• Overall 8-12 years of IT experience is required

• At least 3 years of cloud native application development using docker, Kubernetes is required

• Experience in technology stack such as Java, Spring Boot, Camel, Camunda, IBM BAMOE/Drools, XML, CSS, XSLT, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana (ELK), Prometheus, Grafana etc

• Deep, hands-on knowledge of Microservices & API Mgmt., Cloud Platforms such as Microsoft Azure and DevOps process is required

• Good knowledge of Data & Analytics technologies such as Data Lakes, Business Intelligence Tools, Predictive Models, 3rd Party Data

• Experience in development of REST based APIs using Open API specification and/or creating specifications w/swagger

• Experience in configuring DevOps continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines

• Perform complex troubleshooting of critical problem tickets, resolving defects in existing production software and provide root-cause analysis

• Hands-on experience working with code quality and code coverage tools/frameworks

• Understanding of how to secure webapps and APIs using OpenID/OAuth2.0 standards

• Ability to motivate team members and effectively delegate responsibilities to ensure timely delivery

• Excellent written/verbal skills and demonstrated ability to meet commitments under pressure

• Has demonstrated the ability to work well with others

• An excellent communicator and collaborator across multiple technical and business stakeholders and leaders

• Must be a self-starter, work without supervision

• Ability to take full ownership of work and show initiative as needed

• Strong analytical skills and influence skills to achieve results

• Strong ability to identify, understand and communicate business needs and complex technical concepts in simple, concise and crisp manner to technical and non-technical audiences



Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Causality & Property lines platform/systems implementation is preferred

• Experience in caching technologies and search is a plus



Role & Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical design, development, and integration of innovative insurance products and platforms

• Lead globally distributed teams through end-to-end delivery and development

• Build and maintain secure, scalable cloud-native applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and Microsoft Azure

• Partner with product managers and business stakeholders to design architecture and resolve complex system problems

• Perform hands-on development and code reviews using Java, Spring Boot, Camel, and Camunda

• Manage production systems and act as the technical subject matter expert for L3 troubleshooting
