Application Technical Specialist Overview
• The Application Technical Specialist supports large-scale technology rollout projects by serving as the first point of technical support for field technicians, contractors, and vendors implementing hardware and technology solutions at store locations
• This role operates within a technology-focused call center environment and supports multiple concurrent deployment projects involving technology upgrades, installations, and hardware implementations
• Responsibilities include handling inbound and outbound support calls, troubleshooting implementation issues, validating system updates, documenting project activities, and ensuring deployment procedures are followed
• The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, technical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, and the flexibility to support projects across multiple time zones and implementation schedules
• This is a fast-paced operational support role that requires multitasking, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with field teams during critical technology deployments
Job Duties
• Provide first-level technical support to field technicians, contractors, and vendors during technology rollouts
• Troubleshoot hardware installation and implementation-related issues
• Handle inbound and outbound calls within a queue-based support environment
• Support multiple technology implementation projects simultaneously
• Update tracking applications and document project activities
• Validate implementation activities and system updates
• Communicate project status and issue resolution through email and reporting tools
• Escalate technical issues as needed following established procedures
• Ensure implementation protocols and deployment standards are followed
• Coordinate with field teams and project stakeholders to support successful technology deployments
Specific Details to Call Attention To
• This is NOT a traditional customer service call center role
• Supports technicians, contractors, and vendors implementing technology in stores
• Evening/night shift availability is required
• Candidates must be comfortable supporting multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills are critical
• IT hardware installation experience is preferred but not required
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced technology deployment environment
