Laboratory Technician Overview

The Laboratory Technician supports daily laboratory operations by performing a variety of routine technical procedures and laboratory support activities. This role is responsible for preparing routine solutions and reagents, conducting routine reactions, documenting observations, performing basic calculations, and collecting data for evaluation. The position also supports laboratory organization through stocking supplies, maintaining equipment, arranging and dismantling laboratory apparatus, and cleaning and storing glassware. The Laboratory Technician is expected to maintain accurate technical records while following company policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. Additional responsibilities may include analyzing compounds, managing laboratory compound collections, and performing technical procedures within the assigned laboratory area. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining laboratory quality, accuracy, and safety standards.



Job Duties

• Perform a variety of technical procedures, including preparing routine solutions and reagents and conducting routine reactions

• Make and record laboratory observations

• Perform simple calculations

• Collect and prepare data for evaluation

• Conduct laboratory support functions, including stocking and distributing supplies and equipment

• Arrange and dismantle laboratory apparatus

• Collect, wash, and store laboratory glassware

• Perform technical and record-keeping duties in accordance with company and regulatory policies and quality standards

• Analyze compounds as assigned

• Manage the corporate compound collection, when applicable

• Perform technical procedures within the assigned laboratory area
