Job Description
Required Education
• Degree Preference: Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering preferred.
• General Requirement: Open to other engineering disciplines based on experience.
• Years of Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience (Internships count proportionally toward this total).
• Experience Level: This requirement applies regardless of educational attainment, including a master’s degree.
Required Skills (Technical & Professional)
• SIL Testing: Software in the Loop (SIL) test execution with clear documentation.
• Scripting: Experience automating system-level administrative tasks using Python or other common scripting languages.
• Troubleshooting: Experience with complex system testing and troubleshooting.
Technical Skills (Desired):
• IT Administration: 2+ years experience managing Windows Server and Ubuntu VMs using Vsphere (including OS updates, account administration via LDAP, SQL server management).
• Networking: Experience testing and troubleshooting IT issues in complex client/server environments, including networking protocols (unicast, multicast, broadcast) using tools such as Wireshark.

Job Responsibilities
• Integration & Validation: Integrate multiple systems together and perform validation for autonomous truck programs (Cat Command for Hauling).
• Testing Execution: Execute existing test plans and develop new test plans for new features.
• Debugging: Debug issues and document findings.
• Collaboration: Communicate frequently with the MineStar development team in Australia and the Cat India validation team.
• Stand-ups: Participate in daily standup meetings.
• On-Machine Testing: Support HIL (Hardware in the Loop) labs, SIL (Software in the Loop) labs, and on-machine testing at the BB test track using surrogate vehicles.
• Automation: Develop automation and simulation for testing processes.
• Demonstrations: Participate in dealer/customer demonstrations as needed (Potential travel 0-25% to locations such as Tucson, AZ).
