Job Description
Required Qualifications / Skills / Experience:

• 5+ years of J2EE application development, including front-end, back-end, and middle-tier components

• 3+ years of experience with multiple design patterns

• 3+ years of experience with third-party middleware tools incorporated into application design

• 3+ years of experience creating, consuming, and implementing Web Services

• 5+ years of extensive knowledge of web and application servers

• 2+ years of coding experience with Spring modules

• 2+ years of web application development with Struts modules

• 2+ years of Web Services experience with top-down and bottom-up implementation using JAX-WS

• 2+ years of Oracle SQL experience

• Experience designing and developing high-volume, high-performance applications

• Experience delivering highly available and reliable mission-critical systems

• Experience working throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

• Ability to write well-designed, testable, and efficient code

• Experience delivering tested software components on time

• Experience working in Agile and continuous improvement environments

• Ability to gather and interpret business and technical requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills



Preferred Qualifications / Skills / Experience:

• 2+ years of Application Server experience (JBoss, Deployment Management, etc.)

• 2+ years of scripting experience (Shell, Groovy, etc.)

• 2+ years of Linux operating system and Shell scripting experience

• 2+ years of experience supporting browser-based application infrastructure running in clustered hardware environments

• 2+ years of working knowledge of a modern welfare eligibility case management system

• Experience with Idaho Medicaid Eligibility systems

• Experience leveraging AI/ML capabilities to accelerate software development

• Experience collaborating with Product, QA, and Data teams

• Experience with clustered JBoss application servers

• Experience with clustered Apache web servers

• Experience with F5 Load Balancers

• Experience with Adobe Lifecycle

• Experience with Jenkins

• Experience with Oracle 11g

• Experience with Apache ServiceMix ESB

• Experience with Wily Introscope

• Experience with Subversion source control

Job Overview:

As a Software Engineer III, you will design and develop complex software solutions, lead technical initiatives, leverage AI/ML capabilities to shorten development time, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance products and platforms.



Job Duties:

• Design and develop complex software solutions

• Analyze, design, code, test, and support software applications

• Design and develop high-volume, high-performance applications

• Deliver highly available and reliable software solutions

• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle

• Write efficient, testable, and maintainable code

• Deliver software releases aligned with backlog and user specifications

• Investigate new technologies and technical alternatives

• Evaluate and utilize AI/ML capabilities to accelerate software development

• Collaborate with Product, QA, and Data teams

• Gather and interpret user requirements

• Develop design specifications and system interfaces

• Prepare work estimates and schedules

• Code new features, enhancements, and production fixes

• Participate in structured code reviews and walkthroughs

• Design and support testing prior to deployment

• Provide production support and on-call support as needed

• Work overtime when necessary to meet project deadlines
