Job Description
Required Education:
• HS Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant IT or engineering discipline

Required Qualifications:
• Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin and Micronaut
• Experience with vanilla Kotlin and Java/Spring Boot.
• Strong experience building and supporting APIs, API platforms, and GraphQL.
• Experience with Kafka and PostgreSQL
• Production experience with large-scale data/file processing and batch processing.
• Production implementation experience with caching solutions
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Strong automated testing and Agile development experience

Preferred Qualifications:
• Agentic AI experience, including production-ready AI agents.
• Conversational AI experience, particularly for guest/customer service use cases.
• Experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities into enterprise applications.
• Experience building applications in PCI-compliant environments

We are looking for a hands-on Backend Engineer to build and support scalable backend services for our credit card platform (which includes an API platform, file processing platform, real-time events, and file transfer platform).

Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, and deploy production-grade backend services.
• Build and support API platform capabilities, including REST APIs and GraphQL.
• Develop solutions for large-volume data, large files, and batch processing.
• Build event-driven solutions using Kafka.
• Implement scalable caching solutions and optimize application performance.
• Work with product, infrastructure, security, and other engineering teams in an Agile environment.
