Job Description
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or relevant field

Required Skills for the Embedded Software Engineer:
- 2-4 years of experience
- HIL/SIL Validation & Testing
- dSPACE & MATLAB/Simulink
- Python, gtest C++ Automation & Embedded Software Verification
- Experience with CAN/J1939 communication protocols and Vector tools (CANoe/CANalyzer) for embedded systems testing and diagnostics
- Experience in ECU integration, system-level verification, debugging, and root-cause analysis
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle, version control, and test automation framework development
- Ability to read electrical schematics, perform hardware setup, and troubleshoot HIL/SIL test environments
- Familiarity with diagnostics, fault injection, and validation reporting tools
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex software and hardware issues
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration across software, controls, and validation teams
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and meeting project deadlines
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with a continuous learning mindset

Embedded Software Engineer Overview:
Seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to develop, execute, and automate Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) validation activities for embedded control systems. The role focuses on dSPACE-based test environments, system-level verification, automation, and troubleshooting of electronic control software and hardware. This position provides hands-on experience in both Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) verification and validation for embedded control systems. The Embedded Software Engineer will work with dSPACE, MATLAB/Simulink, automation frameworks, and production software, gaining exposure to the complete virtual validation lifecycle while contributing to delivery of 2026 and 2027 Product Group commitments.

Responsibilities:
- 40% HIL/SIL test development and execution
- 30% test automation and scripting
- 20% issue investigation and debugging
- 10% team collaboration, reviews, and planning.
- Develop, execute, and maintain validation tests for embedded control software using dSPACE, MATLAB/Simulink, and automation tools
