Job Description


Required Education:

• Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Computer Science or related field preferred



Your Expertise:

• 6+ experience with end-to-end complex systems design and implementation across a broad domain of environments

• 2+ years of proven industry experience in building and maintaining custom content author facing tools, workflows, automations, and integrations in the Contentstack CMS.

• Preferred experience working with structured data in enterprise taxonomy platforms including Graphite.

• Expertise for large-scale content data analysis, updates, and reporting, with the ability to handle and process large volumes of data efficiently using scripting languages such as Python.

• Experience developing front-end and back-end software, preferably including TypeScript, with frameworks such as React and runtimes including Node.js.

• Proven expertise in building and maintaining high-performance, scalable and fault-tolerant internal tooling functionality.

• Experience with modern reporting or analytics platforms such as Tableau, Grafana, etc

• Exposure to architectural patterns of large, high-scale web applications, such as well-designed APIs, high volume data pipelines, and efficient algorithms.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and ownership of problem definitions.

• Ability to drive alignment, manage projects, and effectively collaborate with stakeholders.



A Typical Day:

• Lead the scoping, technical requirements, implementation and ongoing

• support of new features and functionality including reporting, expanding product integrations with Contentsack and Graphite, authoring and editing features including GAI.

• Analyze data, build hypotheses, experiment, learn and iterate to improve Client content authoring and delivery experience.

• Develop strategies and integrations between our CSM and Writer.com to empower GAI persona based content creation.

• Leverage your knowledge as a Contentstack subject matter expert as you collaborate with cross-functional working groups (frontend/backend/ML engineers, design, product, systems and networking teams) to streamline the authoring experience, provide robust content management reporting solutions, develop content modeling that will support AI innovations,

• Implement and manage advanced content creation tools, including Contentstack’s Visual Builder and Generative-AI features, to streamline authoring, improve content quality, and support diverse content needs across different locales and types.

• Mentor other engineers in Contentstack best practices.

• Learn, advocate and participate in efforts to advance Client engineering processes and technical foundations.

• Enhance content organization, security, and discoverability by implementing structured taxonomies, role-based permissions, and metadata application, while improving user engagement through advanced content retrieval and integration with controlled vocabularies.

• Manage and configure Graphite integration within the CMS, including scheme selection, read/write permissions, and taxonomy updates, to streamline content management and reduce the need for engineering adjustments.

• Build reusable and configurable React components that adhere to the Design Language System (DLS) standards.

• Maintain and improve the component library to ensure consistency, accessibility, and performance across platforms.

As a Senior Systems Engineer on the Content Products team, you will be responsible for developing advanced content authoring capabilities, removing friction from the content creation process, delivering advanced content management analytics to improve content quality, content auditing to meet compliance requirements and enable GAI authoring experiences for writers. You will partner with product, engineering and content teams within BizTech and Community Support, our internal support organization for Guests and Hosts to meet the ever evolving needs of Client Community Support Platforms.
