Job Description

Minimum Requirements:
• 7 years of experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role
• 7 years of experience with Git and GitHub workflows
• 7 years of experience working in a Linux based system, including shell scripting, and writing/implementing Ansible scripts for configuration automation.
• 5 years of experience with the DevOps tools like Jenkins, Maven, GIT
• 5 years of experience working knowledge of databases and SQL
• 5 years of experience with automating configuring security, API gateways, proxies in the MuleSoft Enterprise platform
• 5 years of experience with highly complex application security requirements
• 5 years of experience with JSON Web Tokens
• 5 years of experience with code reviews and in-depth code analysis
• 5 years of experience working with enterprise software solutions
• 3 years of experience with automating MuleSoft Proxies and configurations
• 3 years of experience with knowledge transfer to junior level web developers
• 2 years of experience in Public sector experience (Federal, State or Local Government)
• 2 years of experience with Confluence
• 2 years of proficiency with the Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Microsoft Project, Word, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint

Role and responsibilities:
• This role is an Application’s DevOps Engineer as part of the Applications Development team(s).
• The DevOps Engineer as part of the development core team, collaborates with developers and IT staff to automate and improve development and release processes, merging the barriers between software development, quality assurance, and IT operations while keeping an eye on swift deliveries and deployment.
• A successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of working with the Apache based Front-end webserver configurations and Kubernetes based backend development platform; a proven success of designing and implementing DevOps process for automating system configurations including MuleSoft platform configuration.
• The primary goal of the candidate will be to keep environments up in running so that developers do not have to worry about troubleshooting environment related issues and can focus on their deliverables.


CLIENT will require the worker to work on the following initiatives and will perform advanced analysis/programming tasks such as:
• Setup DEV, QA, UAT and Production environments in working with the developers and cross-functional team within the agency.
• Collaborating with development and operations teams to identify and address bottlenecks in the software development lifecycle.
• Design and implement automation tools and frameworks for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment.
• Work with Build, Infrastructure, and Middleware team to troubleshoot issues that developers are facing with environment availability.
• Monitor and manage infrastructure configurations for the apps your development team owns, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability using Dynatrace and Splunk.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application development, deployment, and operations.
• Troubleshoot and debug platform and environmental setup/configuration issues.
• Own Bitbucket source-code repository, branching strategy and manage releases and merges.
• Proposes DevOps solutions, Document process, influence best practices within the organization.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Ensure compliance with industry best practices and organizational policies.
• Continuously improve processes and tools to enhance efficiency and productivity.
