Required Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical cloud operations experience
Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience
• 5+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services
• Strong Terraform skills
• Experience integrating complex public cloud and third-party SaaS solutions
• Agile methodology experience, including Jira, roadmapping, managing sprints and backlogs, and tracking resource usage
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Passion for building systems that meet the needs of technical and non-technical users
• Ability to analyze, integrate, and complete migration of services into a larger ecosystem
• Experience identifying dependencies and solving open-ended challenges
• Ability to act as a key point of contact for stakeholders and manage expectations
Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience
• Experience in ecommerce, gaming, or collectibles platforms
• Experience working within a marketplace or high-scale consumer technology environment
• Experience with security and compliance requirements in cloud migrations
Overview:
The Cloud Platform Engineering team is responsible for the stability, reliability, release, and deployment of TCGPlayer.com technology. This role focuses on migrating and integrating TCGPlayer public cloud and third-party systems into eBay’s larger ecosystem. The ideal candidate will identify dependencies, solve open-ended challenges, and communicate effectively across infrastructure, security, and leadership teams while ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural guidelines.
Job Duties
• Lead the migration and integration of TCGPlayer public cloud and third-party systems with eBay’s larger ecosystem
• Interface with leadership, infrastructure, and security teams to understand challenges and proactively seek solutions that meet security standards
• Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, quality standards, and architectural guidelines
• Foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
• Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates on project status, addressing concerns, and managing expectations
• Identify dependencies and solve open-ended integration challenges
• Support Agile practices including Jira, roadmapping, sprint and backlog management, and resource tracking
