Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Requirements:
Experience
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
Technical Expertise
• Strong proficiency in Go and backend system design.
• Deep understanding of configuration, deployment, and production operations.

Technical Skills
• Go: 4+ years building production-grade Go services, modules, and tests.
• Security & Cryptography: 2+ years designing and operating Vault integrations and KMS-style key management, including secure key lifecycles.
• Detection Engines: Experience with YARA/YARA-X or similar pattern engines. Familiarity with string-search algorithms (e.g., Aho–Corasick) preferred.
• Databases: 3+ years PostgreSQL experience (migrations, indexing, query tuning).
• Streaming & Pipelines: Experience with Kafka (or similar) stream-processing frameworks; familiarity with Benthos or equivalent tools.
• Infrastructure: Strong experience with Docker/Docker Compose, Dockerfile optimization, and Makefile-driven workflows.
• Observability: Working knowledge of OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, and metrics instrumentation.
Preferred Requirements:
• Experience with Temporal or similar workflow orchestration engines.
• Solr/Lucene search performance tuning experience.
• LDAP/OIDC integration experience.
• Advanced understanding of pattern-matching algorithm performance trade-offs.
Job Duties:
Platform Development
• Maintain and extend a high-performance detection platform including consumer rule processors (YARA/YARA-X), event producers, APIs, and asynchronous workflows.
Secrets Management
• Design and operate Vault-backed secrets management flows and encryption proxies (KMS).
• Review, harden, and optimize key usage patterns and remediation lifecycles.
Data & Storage
• Implement and optimize PostgreSQL schema migrations and query performance.
• Integrate and tune search capabilities (Solr/Lucene) as needed.
Reliability & Scalability
• Troubleshoot and optimize high-throughput pipelines (Kafka/Benthos).
• Ensure idempotency, effective backpressure handling, and strong observability via traces and metrics.
Engineering Excellence
• Increase test coverage (unit, integration, golden tests).
• Improve CI/CD pipelines (golangci-lint, automation best practices).
• Optimize Docker-based development workflows and build processes.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to help drive the evolution of our Go-based detection platform. This role focuses on building and maintaining high-throughput consumer pipelines (YARA/YARA-X), secure secrets management workflows (Vault/KMS), and resilient asynchronous orchestration.
You will operate at the intersection of backend systems, cryptography, and data engineering to deliver scalable, high-performance security solutions.
