Job Description
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree

Required Experience:
- 5-10+ years of relevant experience evaluating and negotiating coverage on multi-year claims at an insurer, insurance archaeology firm, and/or law firm
- Demonstrated experience driving financial recoveries from carriers through coverage arguments and negotiated resolutions
- Experience managing insurer communications, including notice and tender processes, coverage position letters, and information requests
- Experience reviewing policy documents to identify key provisions for coverage charts or policy management systems

Preferred Experience:
- Experience with insurance archaeology and legacy policy searches
- Background in mass tort or complex liability claims (toxic tort, environmental, pollution, asbestos, sexual assault, concussion, or other high-value claims)
- Prior experience working within a large, matrixed professional services or brokerage environment

Position Summary:
The Complex Liability Consulting (CLC) practice of this company is seeking a dynamic consultant to help grow its high-impact practice, offering expertise across mass-tort and complex liability challenges, including insurance archaeology, policy analysis and mapping, electronic database solutions, allocation modeling, insurer negotiations, and claims/payment tracking.

Job Duties:
- Drive financial recoveries from carriers on behalf of clients by presenting coverage arguments and negotiating resolutions
- Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with client goals
- Apply deep understanding of complex insurance programs to maximize clients' insurance recoveries for mass tort and complex claims
- Manage insurer communications, including notice and tender processes, coverage position letters, and information requests
- Review policy documents to identify key provisions for policy management systems and coverage charts
- Evaluate cost share agreements and buyout offers to protect client interests
- Negotiate insurance coverage and loss allocation resolutions with adjusters
- Conduct insurance archaeology research for legacy policies
- Maintain strict client confidentiality
- Adhere to company policies for timekeeping, expense reporting, and billing
