Job Description
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• MBA or equivalent preferred.

Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
• 7+ years of proven experience in venture debt or a related field, with demonstrated success in executing investments.
• Direct experience underwriting Venture Debt transactions and an extensive network within the Venture Debt or Venture Capital communities is highly desirable.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills for complex investment opportunities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate investment theses and influence stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with deep understanding of technology, innovation, and market dynamics across various sectors.

Responsibilities:
• Deal Evaluation: Proactively identify and evaluate investment opportunities aligned with SFS's strategy
• Conduct comprehensive due diligence, including financial analysis, market research, and competitive assessment
• Assess risks and opportunities of prospective investments.
• Investment Execution: Lead the investment process from initial screening through transaction execution
• Prepare detailed investment memos, presentations, and financial models for investment committee review
• Structure and negotiate investment terms, collaborating with internal and external legal counsel
• Develop investment rationale and present credit approval requests.
• Portfolio Management: Actively monitor and manage portfolio companies, providing strategic guidance and operational support
• Track performance metrics, identify growth drivers, and implement value creation initiatives
• Facilitate portfolio company interactions with external stakeholders
• Maintain regular contact with internal teams (accounting, loan operations, risk controlling, legal) and external teams (outside counsel, financial advisors) to ensure smooth execution and maximize recovery.
• Industry Leadership: Stay current on industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies within the venture capital ecosystem
• Cultivate relationships with entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and co-investors to enhance deal flow
• Represent SFS at industry conferences and networking events.
• Team Collaboration & Mentorship: Collaborate with senior partners and investment team members on strategy
• Mentor junior team members and ensure compliance with Client internal reporting requirements.
