Job Description
Job Summary:
The Associate Vegetation Management Specialist (P1) plays a key support role within the Vegetation Management team, serving as a liaison between customers, contractors, and the Forestry and Landscape Services groups. This position is responsible for coordinating vegetation clearance activities, managing customer communications, processing internal work orders, and supporting program effectiveness through data analysis and administrative functions. Success in this role depends on strong collaboration and communication across departments, contributing to a team environment where shared goals and cross-functional support are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate vegetation clearance activities, including scheduling work assignments, dispatching contract crews based on manager direction, and assigning work to vendors, Landscape Specialists, and Foresters.
• Act as a liaison between customers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure clear communication, timely resolution of vegetation-related issues, and alignment across all stakeholders.
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and written correspondence. Provide accurate information on vegetation programs, address concerns promptly, and maintain detailed records to support customer satisfaction. Regular, high-volume phone interaction is expected, with limited downtime between calls.
• Review and process vegetation management documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance with regulations, and timely internal handling.
• Collaborate with contractors, offering guidance and oversight to promote safe, efficient, and effective vegetation clearance operations.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with team members and peers across Forestry, Landscape Services, and Business Support, fostering a collaborative environment that values shared goals, mutual support, and open communication.
• Analyze vegetation data, document findings, and prepare reports to support program evaluation, improvements, and decision-making.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying and helping implement enhancements to processes and workflows.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in forestry, environmental science, natural resources, communications, or a related field — or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years of experience in vegetation management, utility operations, or related regulatory environments.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices; experience overseeing contractor operations is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret vegetation data and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, customer management systems, and data tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, empathetic approach to customer service.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and customer inquiries while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally for staff meetings or field job shadows.

Work Environment:
• This is a primarily office-based role involving frequent phone and email communication with customers, contractors, and internal teams.
• It requires active collaboration with peers in Forestry, Landscape Services, and Business Support to ensure seamless service delivery and program execution.
• Occasional travel may be required for meetings, job shadowing, or field observations.

  • **Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.**

  • **Please note that all Position start dates and duration are estimates and may be reduced or lengthened based upon a client’s business needs and requirements.**
