Job Description
Education:
• BS Degree required (Genomics or Forensics would be nice to have, but not required)
Required Skills:
• Candidates should have 1-2 years of demonstrated experience in a laboratory setting.
• lab experience required: instrumentation, manual PCR, validation/troubleshooting, and analyzing and reporting.
• Must be detail-oriented.
• Applicants should have a learning mindset.
• be able to work in a fluid and diverse environment.
• possess a strong desire to participate in research support efforts while feeling comfortable working primarily in a laboratory setting.
Preferred Skills:
• Next gen sequencing
• Experience with NGS technologies like Miseq and/or Illumina.

Description:
The Animal Genetic Technologies department seeks a motivated laboratory researcher who will assist in the discovery of groundbreaking therapeutics by supporting the primary research of several hundred internal customers.
Key responsibilities:
• Processing samples in the laboratory (both manually and via laboratory robotics)
• Analyzing and performing quality control of genetic data
• Helping to evaluate and implement new technologies
