Position Title
Senior BI / UX / Reporting Developer
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior BI / UX / Reporting Developer to design and implement enterprise reporting, dashboards, analytics, and user-facing experiences for a modernized School Finance system.
This position combines Business Intelligence/reporting and UX/UI responsibilities and will work closely with business analysts, developers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, accessible, responsive, and intuitive user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Business Intelligence & Reporting
• Design and develop enterprise reports and dashboards.
• Develop operational, financial, audit, and management reporting.
• Develop reporting solutions using Tableau, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, or another comparable enterprise BI/reporting platform.
• Implement appropriate security and row-level security.
• Support authentication and authorization requirements.
• Support Active Directory/user-group security.
• Develop user/access/school-district crosswalks as required.
• Support public and restricted reporting requirements.
• Develop report exports and automated report delivery.
• Support reporting UAT and validation.
• Develop reporting documentation and user training materials.
UX/UI
• Develop UX strategies based on business and user requirements.
• Design intuitive workflows and navigation.
• Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and mockups.
• Design responsive interfaces.
• Apply accessibility requirements to user interfaces.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, architects, and stakeholders.
• Support usability testing and UAT.
• Translate business requirements into effective user experiences.
The SOW calls for enterprise reporting and dashboards and specifically requires UX strategy, UI design, wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and mockups. The reporting component calls for Tableau or a State-approved solution along with security, row-level security, authentication, dashboards, UAT, exports, and automated reporting.
