Required Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Toxicology, or related scientific field.



Required Qualifications / Skills / Experience

• Experience in a professional-level business environment

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent computer skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while effectively communicating status updates to senior staff

• Regulatory compliance processes related to product safety and chemical regulations

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements



Preferred Qualifications / Skills / Experience

• Experience in Industrial Chemical Regulatory Affairs

• SAP experience

• Experience with: TSCA, DSL, SDS authoring, and Label authoring

• Knowledge of: OSHA regulations, TSCA regulations, RCRA regulations, and export regulations.

• Background supporting industrial chemical products and formulations



Regulatory Affairs Specialist Overview

• The Regulatory Affairs Specialist is responsible for ensuring products, raw materials, and related documentation remain compliant with applicable federal, state, regional, and local regulatory requirements

• This role supports regulatory compliance activities related to industrial chemical products, including preparation and maintenance of Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), product labeling, and hazard communication documentation

• The specialist will assess chemical materials and formulations to ensure health, safety, transportation, handling, and disposal considerations are properly addressed while supporting overall business objectives and customer requirements

• The position requires ongoing review and interpretation of evolving regulatory and toxicological information to maintain compliance standards and minimize regulatory risk

• The ideal candidate will have experience working in industrial chemical regulatory environments, possess strong project management and communication skills, and be comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting

• Strong collaboration with internal business teams is required to ensure accurate documentation, timely regulatory support, and compliance with applicable safety and environmental standards.



Job Duties

• Prepare and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and label warning statements in compliance with applicable regulations

• Ensure products and raw materials comply with federal, state, regional, and local regulatory requirements

• Provide assessments of chemical materials and formulations regarding: Health and safety, Transportation, and Disposal considerations.

• Maintain current knowledge of regulatory and toxicological requirements impacting products and materials

• Support compliance activities related to industrial chemical products

• Review and evaluate product formulations for regulatory impact and customer safety considerations

• Communicate regulatory status updates and compliance information to internal stakeholders

• Maintain thorough knowledge of product chemistries and manufacturing processes

• Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and compliance.



Specific Details to Call Attention To

• Strong preference for candidates with Industrial Chemical Regulatory Affairs experience

• Experience with SDS and label authoring is highly preferred

• TSCA/DSL regulatory knowledge is a major plus

• SAP experience preferred

• Must be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong communication skills are critical for success in this role
