Job Description
Required Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Quality, or related discipline)
Preferred Licenses/Certifications:
• AIAG Core Tools Certification.
• IATF 16949 Internal Auditor Certification.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent quality certification.
Required Qualifications:
• 5–7 years of experience in Quality Engineering within an automotive or manufacturing environment.
• Experience developing and implementing quality standards, inspection plans, and process improvements.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of automotive quality processes and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Leadership and mentoring skills to support quality initiatives and training.
Required Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of AIAG Core Tools: PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.
• Working knowledge of IATF 16949 quality management standards.
• Experience with statistical analysis using Minitab.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Experience with quality inspection, measurement systems, and testing equipment.
• Familiarity with CAD software and engineering documentation.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain quality standards for products, processes, and manufacturing systems.
• Prepare PPAP documentation and support APQP activities for new product launches.
• Analyze quality data, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Design sampling procedures and establish methods for collecting and reporting quality data.
• Evaluate production equipment, measurement systems, and testing processes for accuracy and reliability.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure product compliance.
• Conduct quality audits and support compliance with IATF 16949 requirements.
• Utilize Minitab to perform statistical analysis and process capability studies.
• Train and mentor production personnel on quality control processes and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to drive continuous quality improvement. - **Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.**
