• High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education:
• Two- or four-year technical degree preferred; Formal Technical Training or equivalent experience necessary
Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
• Must be capable and effective in report preparation, data presentation and reporting of technical and quality issues.
• Experience with MS Windows, Office and other common computer skills
• Experience - minimum of 3 years of related experience
• Support Quality Engineers with root cause analysis of process defects and customer returns.
Required Skills
• Can read and interpret drawings, specifications and procedures.
• Can utilize dimensional analysis equipment to perform the required analyses.
• Customer-oriented, good follow-up and works with minimal supervision.
• Good interpersonal skills; displays teamwork and flexibility
Position Overview
This position works in conjunction with Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Engineering and our Product Expertise Centers globally, in the areas of quality evaluations, product audits and resolution of non-conforming materials. This position requires accuracy in recording results and keeping detailed records. Timely attention to submissions of returned exhibits to Expertise Centers is essential, as well as effective communication of findings, questioning of results and the providing of information to others, including Customers, is imperative. Must be capable and effective in report preparation, data presentation and reporting of technical and quality issues.
Job Responsibilities
• Assists Quality Management and Engineering, Product Engineering and other departments, as well as Customers.
• Inspects and evaluates materials, parts and/or complete and complex assemblies for conformance to known industrial procedures, specifications and quality standards.
• Conducts and interprets dimensional inspections of finished product, parts, units, or processes to ensure quality standards are met. Evaluates and initiates resolution of non-conforming materials and/or products.
• Provides effective communication and timely follow-up of issues.
• Skillfully and thoroughly communicates results both verbally and in writing with external and internal customers, other departments, and to staff at all levels of SE, promptly.
• Trains others in essential tasks and provides feedback to management and other staff on technical and quality matters.
• Works with other staff members as a team to meet common objectives and to provide exceptional customer service levels.
• Generate material certificates to meet product compliance.
