• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation
• Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and related inspection equipment
• Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and inspection methodologies
• Ability to identify, document, and resolve non-conformance issues
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working within ISO 9000 or similar quality management systems
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles
• Knowledge of process improvement methodologies

Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for verifying product quality throughout the manufacturing process by conducting inspections, testing, and audits to ensure products meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and company quality standards.
This role works closely with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to identify quality concerns, resolve non-conformances, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will possess strong technical inspection skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to product quality and operational excellence.
Job Duties
Quality Inspection & Testing
• Inspect raw materials, tooling, work-in-process, and finished products for compliance with specifications
• Perform dimensional inspections utilizing calipers, gauges, and precision measuring equipment
• Conduct receiving inspections and testing as required
• Select products for inspection and testing throughout various production stages
• Verify dimensions, performance standards, and mechanical characteristics
Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain inspection logs and inspection data sheets
• Document inspection results by part number, lot number, and department
• Complete and process quality-related documentation, including:
o Process tags
o Rework tags
o Non-conforming material reports
• Prepare quality reports and communicate findings to management
Quality Systems & Compliance
• Support compliance with ISO 9000 and customer-specific quality requirements
• Review quality standards and process control procedures
• Recommend revisions to QA plans, tolerances, and inspection processes
• Ensure products and processes meet established quality expectations
Non-Conformance Management
• Investigate product and process non-conformances
• Identify root causes and recommend corrective actions
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on quality improvements
• Escalate quality issues and trends to management
Process Improvement
• Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
• Analyze quality trends and losses
• Recommend process modifications to improve performance and reduce defects
• Contribute to operational excellence initiatives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Operations teams
• Provide technical support regarding quality requirements
• Share inspection findings and recommendations with stakeholders
