Description:

Project Overview
The Client is looking for a skilled Quality Analyst to aid in the creation of Quality Assurance Plans for the Client and Project Client, the modernization project of its unified tax system (UTS). The quality analyst will work directly under Project Client and report to the Project Manager. The QA job duties will include working with the IT teams to establish a series of business best practices for releasing updates to existing products like Client, and the other IT systems they service. These best practices will position the Client Team for quality releases and alleviate the release of unchecked code into the Client Production Landscape. These best practices will be deployed for the current processes and establish a cadence of procedures that will persist through the deployment of the modernization efforts, being adapted to the new product where appropriate.

Experience and Skills Required-
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office including Outlook.
• Ability to use MS Visio and PowerPoint.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and proofreading.
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Creativity, team player, and customer-oriented mindset.
• Understanding, knowledge and use of industry standard toolsets.

Responsibilities
The QA will be responsible for developing best practices around testing procedures for releases in the current system, testing procedures for the modernization product, a yearly regression plan, procedures and business rules around the processes with forms updates, which will also include and cover the procedures for downstream impacts of form changes, as well as other business procedures that impact the overall performance of Taxation, as identified by the Client Project Team and Executive Steering Committee and sub-committees associated.
• Quality Assurance Plans.
• Department Test Schedules and Plans.
• Assist in the development of Business Process Diagrams and Flow Charts centered around QA Plans.
• Evaluating the documentation created for a UTS Modernization project and adding relevant sections for QA.
• Understanding the AS-IS business platform and the processes that support the systems within the Client.
• Understanding the Functional and Technical Requirements for the project.
• Supporting preparations for modernization.
• Organizing and attending various Department meetings.
• Review and preparation of content for internal publication and distribution.
• Prepare the Requirements Traceability Matrix with other Client staff.
• Write test cases that map back to the RTM.
• Conduct discovery meetings with Departmental staff.
