Job Summary:
Looking for an organized professional who enjoys supporting quality programs and laboratory operations! Join client's Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) team where you'll coordinate product samples, maintain laboratory inventory, support analytical testing, and assist with quality programs that help ensure the safety and quality of some of the world's most recognized food brands.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills, exceptional organization, and an interest in food science, quality assurance, or laboratory operations
The schedule is 20 Hours a week - Tues, Wed, Thurs with some flexibility for additional days
• Maintain FSQA sampling programs, support quality evaluations and quality programs with good communication and support to FSQA team
• Coordinate with internal partners (PD, warehouse, analytical lab, testing agency, etc.) to receive products/pallets to the FSQA lab and ship out samples to plants or testing locations
• Maintain current inventory of samples and communicate active inventory of samples with FSQA team
• Submit samples to Analytical lab for testing to include logging sample information into analytical database, test selection, labeling of samples and coordinating with analytical team for results.
• Support Competitive Quality program with monthly schedule updates, sample coordination and updating competitive and plant data entry as needed in Excel and in PowerPoint
• Ability to learn and utilize unique software for inventory management, lab testing requests and to review and pull in plant analytical data
• Help prepare for FSQA meetings with sample presentation including DOQ (Day of Quality), team meetings and quality monitoring evaluations
• Strong general computer knowledge and ability to navigate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Maintain the quality lab and inventory and discard samples when expired with communication to project owners of expiration date
