Job Description

Minimum Requirements:
• 8+ years' experience writing and executing test cases and creating test plans.
• 8+ years' knowledge of SDLC, software usability concepts, and requirements traceability.
• 8+ years' experience with Xray Test Case management and Jira.
• 8+ years' strong SQL skills (CRUD operations).
• 8+ years' experience in test automation using UFT.
• 8+ years' experience in API testing and automation (Postman, SOAPUI, JMETER).
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines.
Preferred Experience:
• 5+ years' experience with Object-Oriented Programming.
• 5+ years' experience with accessibility testing tools and WCAG 2.1 AA compliance.
• 5+ years' experience working with Texas HHS agency systems.
• Familiarity with code coverage tools and performance testing.
• Experience with State government projects is a plus.
Summary:
• Responsible for developing and maintaining automated and manual test scripts to ensure software quality.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to prepare UAT test cases aligned with business requirements.
• Tracks test execution, logs defects, and provides reporting using Jira.
• Works in an Agile environment to support development, testing, and UAT phases.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using UFT.
• Prepare and execute manual and automated test cases for various testing types (unit, integration, regression, smoke, UAT, system, performance).
• Conduct API testing using tools like Postman, SOAPUI, or JMETER.
• Create and maintain requirements traceability matrices.
• Log and manage defects using Jira; ensure proper categorization and prioritization.
• Perform SQL queries (CRUD operations) for data validation.
• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) using assistive technologies.
• Collaborate with Agile scrum teams to deliver quality software releases.
• Provide clear documentation and communicate technical information effectively.
• Troubleshoot defects across development, test, and UAT environments. - **Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.**
