Job Description

This role is for a highly capable QA Contractor who will be instrumental in ensuring product quality. You will be expected to operate independently, contribute to the overall test strategy, and take full ownership of test execution within your assigned scope. You will collaborate closely with engineering and QA leads to execute and improve test processes, ultimately supporting the successful delivery of high-quality features.



Job Description:

This role is for a highly capable QA Contractor who will be instrumental in ensuring product quality. You will be expected to operate independently, contribute to the overall test strategy, and take full ownership of test execution within your assigned scope. You will collaborate closely with engineering and QA leads to execute and improve test processes, ultimately supporting the successful delivery of high-quality features.



Key Responsibilities

Test Execution & Maintenance:

• Execute manual and automated test cases for new and existing features.

• Write and maintain clear, comprehensive test cases and test plans.

• Lead test execution for small to medium-sized projects or features.



Quality Assurance & Improvement:

• Reproduce, document, and triage bugs, collaborating with engineering to drive resolution.

• Support QA leads in developing test strategy and creating test plans.

• Conduct Product and Bug Audits, with QA leads' guidance, to analyze and improve test coverage and identify areas of the product needing improvement.



Cross-functional Collaboration & Support:

• Provide release readiness support for medium and small features.

• Attend status meetings and represent the QA team when a QA lead is unavailable.

• Work onsite as required to ensure product rigor through direct collaboration with engineering and QA teams.



Specialized Testing:

• Support specialized projects, including those requiring high diligence (stealth projects) and safety/model testing (including exposure to potentially unsafe content).

• Lead innovative testing techniques, such as benchmarking and battery testing.



Metrics & Reporting:

• Create and maintain dashboards to track quality metrics and test progress.



Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance or a related field.

• Expertise: Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.



Skills:

• Experience writing and executing test cases and test plans.

• Technical Familiarity (Plus): Familiarity with Python, JavaScript, and SQL.

• Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.



Mindset:

• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

• Comfortable working onsite and engaging directly with cross-functional teams.

• Experience with dashboarding tools and quality metrics is a plus.
