Job Description
Education:
•Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
•PMP or similar certification.

Must have skills:
•Project Planning & Execution
•Quick Prioritization: Ability to rapidly assess and organize medium-term goals (up to 3 months).
•Risk Assessment: Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
•Ownership & Organization: Take charge of priorities, ensuring clarity within workstreams.
•Collaboration: Work closely with multiple technical leads to prioritize and execute ongoing work.
•Communication of Priorities: Ensure all stakeholders are aware of current priorities; escalate or initiate necessary conversations if priorities are unclear.
•Strong Communication Skills
•Concise Conveyance: Clearly communicate priorities within and across workstreams.
•Technical Understanding: Possess a technical background to understand and articulate project goals.
•Audio Background (Highly Desirable): While audio expertise is preferred, candidates with other technical backgrounds who can learn quickly are also valued.
•Task Management & Tracking
•Direct Oversight: Manage and track tasks and goals in collaboration with technical leads.
•Progress Monitoring: Ensure timely completion and documentation of tasks.

We are developing breakthrough AR and VR technologies, including optics and displays, computer vision, audio, graphics, brain-computer interfaces, haptic interaction, eye/hand/face/body tracking, perception science, and true telepresence. The client Audio team, in particular, is focused on redefining how people hear and connect.

We are seeking a Project Manager for an on-site role to help us advance an ambitious research program to develop technologies that will augment human capabilities and enable effortless communication in acoustically challenging environments (learn more about our work here). This is a full-time contract position that requires a highly motivated individual who can work collaboratively as well as independently. As a Project Manager, you will lead scientific research projects from conception to completion, collaborating with experts in audio signal processing, machine learning, and hearing sciences. An ideal candidate would have familiarity with some or all of these areas.

Responsibilities:
•Drive project planning, execution, and delivery for research and feature development.
•Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
•Communicate project status, dependencies, and risks to stakeholders.
•Ensure proper documentation of progress and completion of tasks and projects.
•Oversee procurement of equipment and vendor services.
•Support operational (non-research) projects and tasks as needed.

Minimum qualifications:
•3+ years of project management experience in research or product development.
•Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
•Demonstrates proactive initiative and excels at managing multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
•Effectively collaborates across functions, building strong partnerships with team members and stakeholders throughout the organization.
•Possesses exceptional organizational and time management skills, ensuring priorities are met and deadlines consistently achieved.
