Required Education
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, Information Technology, Finance, Management, or a related field
Required Experience:
• Minimum 8 years of experience managing a Program Management Office (PMO)
• Experience leading and developing a team of PMO specialists or analysts
• Strong project and portfolio financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, accruals, and financial tracking
• Experience working with senior leadership and executive stakeholders
• Experience supporting project governance, portfolio management, and resource planning activities
Required Technical Skills
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate
• Proficiency with Planview is strongly preferred but not required
• Knowledge and practical experience with both Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies

Overview:
The PMO Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the Program Management Office (PMO), including managing a team of PMO analysts and supporting enterprise project and portfolio management activities. This role ensures effective project governance, resource allocation, financial oversight, portfolio reporting, and strategic decision-making support. The position requires frequent interaction with senior leadership and stakeholders across business and IT teams. The role is dynamic, balancing day-to-day operational needs with recurring monthly and quarterly PMO responsibilities.
Job duties:
• Resolve project governance issues and ensure adherence to governance standards
• Manage project demand activities across relevant portfolios
• Ensure appropriate project management resources are assigned to projects
• Support project reviews and funding approval processes
• Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly portfolio updates for senior leadership
• Manage PMO budgets by forecasting resource requirements and tracking expenses
• Coordinate with Risk, Governance, and Performance Management teams regarding project quality audits and compliance activities
• Oversee project and portfolio financials, including budgeting, forecasting, funding management, and financial performance reporting
• Provide financial and portfolio insights to support strategic decision-making and portfolio delivery
• Respond to ad hoc requests from executives, project teams, and stakeholders
• Lead and develop PMO resources while promoting best practices and continuous improvement
