Job Description
Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, or a related technical field.



Preferred Certifications:

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent project management training preferred.



Required Qualifications / Skills / Experience:

• 4+ years of experience leading capital equipment, manufacturing, or engineering projects.

• Experience managing cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience working with external equipment suppliers and contractors.

• Strong project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management skills.

• Experience managing project scope, timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.



Preferred Qualifications:

• Medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace, or other regulated industry experience.

• Experience implementing capital equipment and manufacturing automation projects.

• Experience coordinating FAT, SAT, validation, and equipment qualification activities.

• Knowledge of quality systems, change control, and validation methodologies.

• Experience developing capital requests (CERs), business cases, and financial justifications.





Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead capital equipment and manufacturing projects from planning through production launch. The ideal candidate will partner with cross-functional teams, manage project schedules and budgets, coordinate equipment implementation and validation activities, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive multiple complex projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.



Job Duties:



Project Leadership & Execution

• Lead multiple capital equipment and manufacturing projects from planning through production launch.

• Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Facilities, Sourcing, and Leadership.

• Monitor project performance and proactively resolve risks, issues, and resource constraints.

• Evaluate and approve project changes affecting scope, schedule, cost, or technical strategy.



Vendor & Contractor Management

• Manage equipment suppliers, contractors, and external partners throughout project execution.

• Lead equipment design reviews, technical discussions, and project status meetings.

• Coordinate Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), equipment installation, and commissioning.

• Ensure vendors meet contractual obligations, project milestones, and performance expectations.



Technical & Validation Coordination

• Coordinate development of User Requirements Specifications (URS), risk assessments, and project documentation.

• Partner with technical SMEs to ensure equipment meets manufacturing, quality, and operational requirements.

• Support validation activities including FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ, engineering studies, and process qualifications.

• Facilitate change control and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.



Financial & Strategic Planning

• Develop and manage Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs), project budgets, and financial justifications.

• Track project spending, forecast capital requirements, and improve project ROI.

• Support manufacturing strategy initiatives including automation, insourcing, and capacity expansion projects.
