Job Description
Required Skills/ Qualifications:
• SAP experience (critical requirement)
• Ability to review project costs and analyze cost variances
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Program management experience or mindset with an understanding of the full project lifecycle.
• The ideal candidate should be able to hit the ground running. SAP experience is considered essential, as learning SAP alone can take approximately one month.

Position Overview:
Client is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the Gas Capital Portfolio by managing the financial and administrative closeout of capital projects. This role is responsible for reviewing project costs against budgets, investigating cost variances, gathering supporting documentation from project teams, verifying material installations, ensuring compliance with SOX closeout requirements, and performing quality reviews of completed projects.
The ideal candidate will understand both project financials and project operations, with the ability to analyze project data while recognizing broader project lifecycle impacts. Experience with SAP is considered critical for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Review project costs and compare actual expenditures against forecasts and budgets
• Research, analyze, and document project cost variances
• Partner with Project Managers and project teams to obtain supporting documentation and project information
• Review capital material usage and verify material installations
• Close completed projects within SAP
• Conduct QA/QC reviews of previously completed project closeouts
• Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and internal controls
• Communicate project findings, status updates, and closeout activities to stakeholders
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation throughout the project closeout process

Team and Work Environment:
• Team size is approximately 20 people
• Collaborative and supportive team environment
• Primarily an individual contributor role
• Requires frequent cross-functional communication
• Mix of independent work and stakeholder collaboration

The role will interact with internal project teams as well as consultants and construction companies supporting gas capital projects.
