Description:
• Provides technical lead and subject matter expertise in hospital systems programming support. Converts business requirements into program specifications.
• Analyses impact of proposed solutions on business applications.
• Develops, implements, and maintains application systems and programs.
• Ensures satisfactory functioning through testing, analysis of results, and correction of deficiencies according to business requirements.
• Provides application assistance to support, technical, and operation areas.
Job Requirement
Education/Experience:
• Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, computer programming or field related to the position and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience as an applications or systems programmer/analyst.
Licensing/Certification Requirements:
• Certain positions may require certification in specific information systems technology programs.
• Additional and/or Preferred Position Requirements
• Practical knowledge of Health Level 7 protocols and programming methods
• Experience with enterprise interface platforms such as Cloverleaf or Core Point
• Practical knowledge of Structure Query Language (SQL)standards, data modelling and programming methods
• Experience coordinating efforts of multi-discipline teams

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
• Mobility to work in a typical office setting and use standard office equipment, stamina to remain seated and maintain concentration for extended periods of time, vision to read printed materials and a VDT screen, and hearing and speech to communicate effectively in person and over the telephone
• Strength and agility to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a eligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
