Job Description
***Client seeking only qualified Senior Programmer Analyst candidates located near the Fredericton, NB, CAN area due to the position requiring an onsite presence***

Required Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered

Required Skills:
• Minimum 5 years of experience specializing in data migration from legacy systems to modern platforms
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Programmer/Analyst, including work with financial and/or loan systems
• Minimum 4 years of SQL development experience, including T-SQL, PL/SQL, and/or Oracle SQL
• Strong analytical skills for reviewing data mappings, conversion logic, and legacy data structures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Desired Skills:
• Experience working with Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) enterprise solutions
• Experience supporting housing, financial services, or loan management systems
• Familiarity with data archiving strategies for legacy system decommissioning
• Experience collaborating with Quality Assurance teams for data validation and testing

Project Overview:
The role supports the restart and completion of a previously paused loans modernization initiative. The successful candidate will review prior conversion work, validate and update data mappings, lead data cleanup efforts, and collaborate with internal teams and an external vendor to complete data conversion, testing, and deployment activities.

Job Responsibilities:
Data Conversion & Migration
• Convert existing loan data from multiple legacy systems into the modern housing COTS solution using vendor-provided dataloaders
• Review prior project work to understand historical data mappings and conversion approaches
• Analyze updated vendor documentation and identify required changes to existing data mappings

Data Analysis & Cleanup
• Analyze legacy system data to identify quality issues and cleanup requirements
• Lead facilitated sessions to define, document, and gain consensus on data cleanup and configuration requirements

Technical & Business Collaboration
• Maintain working knowledge of the housing COTS solution
• Identify risks, issues, and conflicts arising from business or technical changes
• Work with project stakeholders to determine data archiving approaches for records not migrated

Testing & Deployment
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to ensure successful testing of data conversions
• Assist with deployment activities and support the transition to production

Project Support
• Collaborate with project team members, multiple government departments, and an external vendor to meet project milestones
• Attend project status meetings and working group sessions as required
