Experience Required:
• Experience in tracking and maintaining data through Excel spreadsheets.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in housing programs, disability services, or related fields, with a strong emphasis on housing transitions and independent living.
• Experience in informational presentations to various stake holders, leading meetings, building cooperative relationships with community stakeholders working with the various barriers to community transition; including housing issues, workforce issues, etc.
• Experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation.

The MFP (Money Follows the Person) program aims to assist individuals with disabilities and older adults in transitioning from institutional settings to community-based living arrangements. In addition to program support, the Deputy Director of the State Money Follows the Person (MFP) Program is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the housing transition components of the program. The Deputy Director plays a crucial role in ensuring successful housing transitions and promoting independent living for program participants.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, advocacy groups, and service providers to promote the rights and inclusion of individuals with disabilities and older adults in qualifying institutions who are attempting to transition back to the community.
• Develop and implement strategies to identify and secure affordable, accessible, and integrated housing options for MFP participants transitioning from institutional settings to the community.
• Collaborate with local housing authorities, nonprofit organizations, and private landlords to establish partnerships and increase the availability of suitable housing units for program participants.
• Provide support for the Rhode Island Home Stabilization Medicaid benefit.
• Provide support and lead quality assurance and case clinical discussions for the Nursing Home Transition Program.
• Represent the Money Follows the Person program at meetings, conferences, and events related to housing transitions and independent living.
• Assist Director and Data Quality Analyst with tracking and analyzing data for submission to the State of Rhode Island and The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
• Assist in using data to establish and monitor program benchmarks and goals. Outreach and educate community stakeholders through formal and informal group presentations.
• Provide support to the Rhode Island 811 Program voucher program, by participating in the 811 Advisory Team, and ensuring appropriate supports for MFP members transitioning to an 811 home.
