Job Description

The client is seeking a Program Manager to support our Gas Engineering team with closing out old project. This will require researching everything in SAP to identify what may be missing in the requirements to close out and capitalize a project. Any items not found in SAP may need to be as-built in the field to ensure all assets are being booked correctly.

Research items may include:
• Proof of labor charges – sometimes these are in invoices that Xcel does not have, or needs more detail from the vendors
• Proof of materials being purchased and tying to list of assets being installed. Ensure this meets current capitalization policy
• Journal Entries/Reclasses. Projects could have been charged incorrectly, not charged at all, were set up incorrectly, or do not meet capitalization policy
• As-builts need to be reviewed and then finalized to match assets listed on the enhancement tab
• Cost variances
• Pulling reporting from Business Objects, PowerPlan, Workbook, IBM Content Manager, Master Data Online (MDO), and SAP to support closeout efforts

Program Manager Responsibilities:
• This position maps to our Engineering classification and agencies and is intended for program oversight roles requiring technical experience such as engineering or construction
• Responsible for the coordination, implementation, and execution of programs that may apply to multiple projects, disciplines or areas
• Manages programs and orchestrates the results to achieve a broad program goal
• Plan, facilitate and monitors existing programs and may be responsible for development and implementation of new programs from inception through delivery ensuring all deadlines and requirements are met
• Defines and reports program status, issues, adherence to program requirements and tracks success metrics
• Identifies and monitors areas of risk
• Continuously seeks opportunities to improve cost, performance and schedule
• Facilitates communication and coordination among projects and departments
• Manages internal and external stakeholder engagement, performance and satisfaction
• Maintains awareness of trends, business conditions, process and practices impacting component projects or programs
• Adheres to standard project management and contract management methodologies and reporting techniques
• Proficiency in MS Office
