Required Education:

Required Licensure:
• Current RI Licensure as an EMT, AEMT, AEMT-Cardiac, Paramedic, and/or RN, PA, DO, or MD

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
• Prior experience working in emergency care, pediatric care, public health, or public policy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication, organizational, decision-making, and leadership skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A thorough knowledge of principles and practices and techniques of program planning as it relates to the development of community-based or statewide programs and the ability to apply such knowledge
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a superior, departmental officials, partnerships, community representatives, and the general public

Pediatric EMS Program Coordinator Job Summary:
We are seeking a Pediatric EMS Program Coordinator to help improve emergency medical care for children throughout Rhode Island. This position works closely with EMS agencies, hospital emergency departments, pediatric subject matter experts, public health partners, and state leadership.
The coordinator will support statewide pediatric EMS initiatives, monitor program performance, assist with federal grant activities, and help strengthen emergency preparedness and pediatric care protocols.

Pediatric EMS Program Coordinator Responsibilities:
• Partner with the EMS Education Coordinator and pediatric subject matter experts to improve pediatric emergency care across Rhode Island EMS agencies and hospital emergency departments
• Monitor EMSC program activities, performance measures, implementation milestones, and targets
• Assist with applications, reporting, and other requirements for the federal HRSA EMS for Children State Partnership Grant
• Participate in pediatric healthcare committees, working groups, and advisory meetings
• Serve as a liaison between participating EMS agencies, hospital emergency departments, government partners, and other organizations
• Support development and planning of pediatric components of the state's disaster and mass-casualty response plans
• Assist with prehospital pediatric care protocols and emergency preparedness exercises
• Attend relevant pediatric emergency care, EMS, and disaster preparedness training and conferences
• Support Center for EMS projects, including annual reports, newsletters, data reports, and other program materials
• Perform other related duties as assigned
