Job Description
Required Skills:
• 7+ years of program, event, or engagement management, ideally including customer advisory boards, partner councils, or executive programs
• A track record of owning complex, multi-workstream programs end to end and delivering with limited direction
• Strong executive presence and communication: you can produce clean, concise, executive-ready docs and decks and hold the room with senior leaders and external partners
• Excellent stakeholder management across product, marketing, and external members simultaneously
• Event production experience, including multi-day, in-person events with senior audiences
• Fluency in Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets), Microsoft Office, and Slack; comfort building and maintaining trackers, briefs, and agendas
• Sound judgment and discretion handling confidential and NDA-protected material
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with the accounting profession, accounting/tax software, or fintech/B2B SaaS, and an understanding of how firms serve their clients
• Experience standing up new operating cadences or closed-loop feedback mechanisms from scratch
• Comfort translating between technical product teams and non-technical practitioner audiences
• A design sensibility for practitioner- and executive-facing materials (clarity over volume; one-page discipline)
Duties:
• The Accountant Council is one of Client's most important operating mechanisms — a small, highly selective advisory body of ~20 leading accounting firms who partner directly with Client to shape the product roadmap
• The Council is evolving from a feedback-and-advisory forum into a year-round co-creation engine, embedding accountants from requirement-setting through launch and building a continuous, closed-loop relationship between Client product teams and the profession
• We're looking for a Staff Program Manager to run this program end to end
• This is a builder role for someone who can own the operating cadence of a high-visibility, executive-facing program — from the two annual in-person summits through the always-on engagement in between — with a high degree of autonomy
• You'll be the connective tissue across product, GTM, and the firms themselves, and the person who makes sure every commitment has an owner and every member has a first-class experience
How you will lead
• Own the program end to end
• Drive the full operating rhythm of the Council: in-person sessions, monthly engagements, recruitment cycles, and cross-functional follow-through — as the day-to-day owner accountable for the program running well
• Operate independently
• Take ambiguous goals and turn them into plans, timelines, and finished deliverables with minimal oversight
• Bring a point of view; don't wait to be told
• Serve two audiences at once
• Orient Council members on how to prepare and give Client executives a clear, concise picture before they walk into a session
• Hold the trust lens
• Nearly every program goal depends on deepening firms' trust in Client
• Evaluate decisions through whether they compound or draw down that trust
Key responsibilities
• In-person sessions (twice yearly, Mountain View)
• Plan and produce the multi-day summits end to end: agenda design, run-of-show, logistics, catering, room and gallery-walk layout, A/V, travel, and on-site execution
• Partner with session owners ("content drivers") to scope each session and complete session briefs on schedule, holding a one-page-per-brief standard that serves both councilors and executives
• Coordinate executive and leadership participation, including fireside chats and graduation moments
• Run the gallery-walk program: station selection, driver assignment, and floor mapping
Always-on engagement (between sessions)
• Stand up and operate a closed-loop feedback program — a single, continuously updated source of truth showing members what has shipped, what's in progress, and what's been deprioritized and why
• Manage the monthly consulting cadence, pairing members with named product-team owners and holding committed response timelines
• Coordinate the embedded "cradle-to-launch" cohort, including sandbox access and pre-launch readiness checkpoints
Member recruitment & lifecycle
• Run the annual recruitment cycle (roughly half the Council turns over each summer): manage the application funnel, screening logistics, and onboarding of returning and new classes
• Own external recruitment content, including the recruitment blog post and Apply Now funnel, and manage inbound firm inquiries and follow-up
• Coordinate member agreements (NDA and related) and keep member records current
Cross-functional coordination & reporting
• Serve as the program's operational hub across Accountant 360, ProPartner, Professional Services, and Accountant GTM, ensuring named accountability and time commitments from each
• Prepare executive-ready briefings, session summaries, and post-event synthesis
• Manage program budget, vendors, and resourcing in partnership with program leadership
What success looks like
• The Autumn and Spring sessions run flawlessly, with prepared session owners, informed executives, and members who feel their time was well spent
• The closed-loop program is live and trusted — members can see their input being actioned year-round, not just in the room
• Recruitment is on time and on criteria, with a strong, well-matched incoming class
• Every commitment made to a member has a named owner and a clear status - **Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.**
- **Please note that all Position start dates and duration are estimates and may be reduced or lengthened based upon a client’s business needs and requirements.**
