Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
• Experience using a computer for data entry.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations to support job responsibilities.
• Ability to stand for approximately 95% of the work shift.
• Ability to safely lift up to 40 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to frequently reach above the shoulders, climb, squat, kneel, and bend.
• Ability to adapt to changing production volumes and multitask as workload changes.
• Flexibility to work required overtime, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
• At least 1 year of experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
• At least 1 year of experience operating inserting machines.
• Experience operating Pitney Bowes and/or Bluecrest inserting equipment.
• Experience performing equipment setup, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Experience performing quality checks in a production environment.
Inserter Operator Overview:
The Inserter Operator is responsible for operating, setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting inserting equipment to ensure accurate and timely production. The role involves operating a variety of inserting machines, performing quality checks, separating damaged mail, and staging completed materials for warehouse pickup. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment and adapting to changing production volumes.
Job Duties:
• Operate a variety of inserting machines manufactured by Pitney Bowes and Bluecrest.
• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot inserting equipment to support production requirements.
• Monitor equipment and production processes to ensure accurate and timely completion of jobs.
• Conduct quality checks to verify that inserted materials are accurate and meet production standards.
• Identify and separate damaged or defective mail.
• Adapt to changing production volumes and multitask based on workload and operational needs.
• Stage completed materials after each job run for warehouse pickup.
• Perform other production-related tasks as assigned based on workload.
• Work flexible schedules as required, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain a safe and productive work environment while following established quality and operational procedures.
