Job Description
Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data.

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

• Understanding of supply chain management and logistics.

• Knowledge of procurement policies and procedures.

• Familiarity with relevant software and systems.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications and capable of performing reporting functions and critical analysis of results to drive business goals and efficiencies.

• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong analytical skills

• Ability to utilize mathematical formulas is required.

• Advanced ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and coordinate work assignments is required.



Description:

• A Procurement Analyst must possess a combination of analytical skills, business acumen, and effective communication abilities.

• The role requires the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that can drive procurement decisions.

• Experience in procurement or supply chain management is a valuable asset, but individuals with a background in data analysis, finance, or operations can also transition into this role with the right skill set.



Procurement Analyst’s Daily Activities

A typical day for a Procurement Analyst involves a mix of data analysis, communication, and strategic planning:

• Reviews contracts submitted in the system for processing requirements.

• Working with the Accounting Dept. to assist with resolving supplier payment issues.

• Participating in meetings with suppliers and internal teams to for training purposes or to discuss issues and address their concerns.

• Strong customer relationships are required through the management of in-house customer and vendor relationships.

• Analyst must communicate clearly and effectively with others, understand processes, and the rationale behind them.

• Must identify multiple projects and prioritize them in order to meet required deadlines.

• Analysts must be flexible and capable of creatively resolving issues.

• Assisting the Contract Managers with routine and special department clarifications or needs.

• Responding to inquiries made by accounting staff, vendors, and contract managers to resolve routine invoicing problems and to ensure service needs are met.

• Assisting with the resolution of invoice/payment issues, when requested.

• Serves as a technical advisor to departmental staff and provides training and guidance for assigned areas of responsibility.

• Performs other duties as assigned.
