Educations/Experience Requirement:
• One of the following:
o High School Diploma and 5+ years of procurement or purchasing experience
o Associate’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience
o Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of relevant experience

Procurement Specialist Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to support a wide range of purchasing and contracting activities within a collaborative public sector environment. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys working with data, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with procurement regulations.

Procurement Specialist Key Responsibilities:
• Manage procurement activities for assigned goods and services, including purchase orders and bid processes
• Develop and support Requests for Quotes (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and other competitive solicitations
• Review and validate purchase requests to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with policies
• Evaluate vendor bids and proposals to determine responsiveness, technical merit, and overall value
• Serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders, vendors, and the public to address questions and provide guidance
• Assist agencies in preparing documentation and selecting appropriate procurement methods
• Maintain procurement records and documentation for audit purposes
• Provide support and guidance on procurement systems and vendor registration processes
• Collaborate with team members and assist in training or onboarding junior staff
