Job Description
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred (Mechanical, Industrial, or Supply Chain Engineering accepted).
• Associate Degree is a disqualifier (will not be considered).
• Internships do not count toward required experience.
• 2+ years of professional experience required

Additional Technical Skills (Required):
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and formulas.
• Experience with 3D modeling / Creo.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Experience with Teamcenter.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma processes.
• Ability to perform Should Cost Analysis.
• Understanding of the APQP process and ability to apply it.

Required Soft Skills:
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while driving departmental goals.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.

Job Description
• Primary Purpose: Manage APQP and cost management from concept through PPAP to ensure parts meet quality, cost, and timeline targets.
• Key Focus Areas: Supply strategy implementation, VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering), supplier quality feedback loops, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Manage Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and cost management activities from concept through PPAP.
• Deliver parts at the right quality, total cost, and within required timelines.
• Collaborate with functional areas including packaging, transportation, business resources, and supply chain.
• Use Teamcenter and Workflow processes extensively to partner with Engineering and Supplier Development Engineers (SDEs).
• Identify supplier sources for each Buy-level part.
• Escalate supplier quality defects to SDEs for immediate containment.
• Implement product supply strategies aligned with category management supply strategies to create competitive advantage.
• Manage quality feedback loops to ensure lessons learned from quality defects are applied across the supply base.
• Drive Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE) through cost modeling, design for manufacturability, and leveraging supplier capabilities.
• Interact frequently with Buyers, Supplier Development Engineers, Engineering teams, Quality teams, and the Engineering Value Chain team.
