Required Education

• A High school diploma



Preferred License/Certification

• Pharmacy Technician License or Certification



Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience

• 01 year of pharmacy, PBM, prior authorization, or healthcare experience.

• 01 year of call center experience

• Ability to work in a high-volume inbound or outbound calling environment

• Strong verbal communication and professional phone etiquette

• Ability to speak confidently with physician office staff and healthcare professionals

• Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously

• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills

• Ability to set up a computer, VPN, and other applications at home



Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience

• Familiarity with prescription refill processes and medical office workflows

• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements



Pharmacy Technician Overview

• The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for placing outbound calls to physician offices to obtain verbal authorization for prescription refill renewals when previous outreach attempts have not received a response

• This role supports continuity of patient care by ensuring refill requests are addressed in a timely and compliant manner

• The Pharmacy Technician maintains professionalism and accuracy in all communications while interacting with physician office staff and healthcare professionals

• The position requires strong verbal communication, attention to detail, accurate documentation, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously

• The role requires the ability to manage repetitive tasks while maintaining quality and focus, work independently and as part of a team, and set up a computer, VPN, and other applications at home



Job Duties

• Place outbound calls to physician offices to obtain verbal authorization for prescription refill renewals

• Follow up when previous outreach attempts have not received a response

• Support continuity of patient care by ensuring refill requests are addressed in a timely and compliant manner

• Communicate professionally with physician office staff and healthcare professionals

• Maintain professionalism and accuracy in all communications

• Accurately document prescription refill outreach and related information
